Our Mission

Grimm and Leslie started this blog because they're not accountable enough for their diet and exercise regimen on their own to document their journey and develop a community of support where the fear of your judgment can keep them in line to reach their fitness goals.

If you're up for the trip, there's room for more.

I Hear In My Mind All This Music*

Workout
45 minutes Level 5 Afterburner on the elliptical.

*Workout song of the day: Fidelity by Regina Spektor.

I started re-reading Oprah's Make the Connection book and I've been trying to implement one of the suggestions I found there: exercise first thing in the morning. The book includes a really cool chart about how exercising in the morning elevates your metabolism all day, which I'm sure it does, but for me, it's what it does for me mentally that makes it a good idea. I eat less when I exercice first thing, because I don't want to ruin the hard work I did. Plus, I just feel better.

I've been trying to keep my body guessing by fluctuating my calories a bit. Except that I haven't been successful. I pretty much eat right up to the maximum number of calories I can have and still lose a pound a week.

I guess that's better than eating enough to gain a pound a week.
